All Clear!!

Sep 5th, 2007 by brian | 34

We just got back from the Doctor… the CT scan showed no sign of cancer remaining in her body. She’s clear! From here we still face chemo, but for today we are just celebrating an end of sorts.

They got it all.

Thank you all so much for everything! I’m sorry for everyone who we haven’t replied to over the last few weeks, we really appreciate all of your encouragement and the way you have loved us so well. And your prayers, we have felt them. This of course has really grown us in ways we hadn’t anticipated- we’ve grown together, and we’ve grown deeper. God is faithful. Not that he wouldn’t be if it had been otherwise, but it’s so much easier to say it when you are rejoicing… isn’t it?

    Brian and Angie - we are so thrilled to hear the great work that the Lord has done! Not only to clear your body of cancer, but to sustain you and your faith through this whole process! We will continue to pray that He will sustain you physically, emotionally, and spiritually through the days ahead. The words of this great hymn came to mind, so I thought I’d copy the words here for you to read through. We love you guys so much!

    Praise to the Lord, the Almighty, the King of creation!
    O my soul, praise Him, for He is thy health and salvation!
    All ye who hear, now to His temple draw near;
    Praise Him in glad adoration.

    Praise to the Lord, who over all things so wondrously reigneth,
    Shelters thee under His wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!
    Hast thou not seen how thy desires ever have been
    Granted in what He ordaineth?

    Praise to the Lord, who hath fearfully, wondrously, made thee;
    Health hath vouchsafed and, when heedlessly falling, hath stayed thee.
    What need or grief ever hath failed of relief?
    Wings of His mercy did shade thee.

    Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee;
    Surely His goodness and mercy here daily attend thee.
    Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,
    If with His love He befriend thee.

    Praise to the Lord, O let all that is in me adore Him!
    All that hath life and breath, come now with praises before Him.
    Let the Amen sound from His people again,
    Gladly for aye we adore Him.

    A Prayer of Thanksgiving

    Gracious and dear Heavenly Father,

    We can not thank you enough for what you have done on Angie and her family’s behalf! We praise your precious Name for removing all of the cancer from her body! Thank you for giving us all a taste of what Mary must have experienced on resurrection morning. Lord, thank you for hearing the cries and pleas of your children on her behalf and granting her complete healing. Oh that many would see, and fear you.

    To You and You alone be the glory!
    Amen.

    P.S. I love you my dearest friend and can’t wait to embrace you and weep over you with tears of joy!

    Love.
    Beth

    We rejoice and praise the Lord together. It makes me so thankful that we are not called to be Christians alone in this world, but he made us a body for this very reason, to support and care for each member. Thanks for sharing your testimoney with all of us and bearing evidence us of what a good God we serve!

    We were so grateful and breathed a sigh of relief after Adam called us with the great news. Thank God for His answer to so many prayers on your behalf. Love, The Pearsons

    “Oh magnify the Lord with me and let us exalt His Name together!”
    I just shouted, “Praise the Lord” when I saw the “all clear” heading from the “Spring of Joy” email! Praise the Lord…again and again!

    We are so thankful to God for His healing power and His goodness. He’s good no matter what He does, we know…but it’s much easier for us poor humans when we can understand that goodness, isn’t it! He has given a young wife and mother back to her husband and three little ones–that we can understand and rejoice in with full hearts.

    Our children send you their love and want you to know how much they thank God for healing “Mommy’s friend.”

    Some of your favorite words say it best:

    All the way my Savior leads me,
    What have I to ask beside?
    Can I doubt HIS TENDER MERCY,
    Who through life has been my Guide?
    HEAVENLY PEACE, DIVINEST COMFORT,
    Here by faith in Him to dwell!
    For I know, WHATE’ER BEFALL ME,
    JESUS DOETH ALL THINGS WELL;
    For I know, whate’er befall me,
    Jesus doeth all things well.

    All the way my Savior leads me,
    Cheers each winding path I tread,
    GIVES ME GRACE FOR EVERY TRIAL,
    Feeds me with the living Bread.
    Though my weary steps may falter
    And my soul athirst may be,
    Gushing from the Rock before me,
    Lo! A SPRING OF JOY I SEE;
    Gushing from the Rock before me,
    Lo! A spring of joy I see.

    All the way my Savior leads me,
    OH! THE FULLNESS OF HIS LOVE!
    Perfect rest to me is promised
    In my Father’s house above.
    When my spirit, clothed immortal,
    Wings its flight to realms of day
    THIS MY SONG THROUGH ENDLESS AGES:
    JESUS LED ME ALL THE WAY;
    This my song through endless ages:
    Jesus led me all the way.

    I love you!

    Brian and Angie,

    We’ve been lifting you up. I am very relieved to hear that there is no sign of cancer from the test! I had asked our bible study and guys that I meet to be praying for you two and the kids. I can’t imagine the mental and emotional aspects of the battle that you have gone through, but praise God for He is able to turn the walk in the dark valley into lovingly purposeful intimacy with Him. He continues to amaze me. Keep looking up.

    Much Love,

    Kaz, Michelle and Annabelle.
