Asher was drawing people the other day, and he drew a picture of Brian. Then he drew a big heart on his chest and said, “See Mommy, I drew Daddy’s heart. It’s so big because he loves me so much.” Sweet boy.

Praying For Baby
One day I was putting Audrey down for her nap, and she’s hit that stage where she doesn’t ever want me to leave her, so she was crying. I was up with her, standing and swaying, and trying to calm her down. I heard someone talking behind me & turned around. There was Asher lying on the daybed in her room, eyes shut, hands folded, praying for Audrey to “go to sleep quickly so that she could grow up to be healthy and 4 1/2.” It was so sweet! Then when she calmed down and I could put her back in bed, Asher said to me, “Look Mommy, God is already working in her heart.”
Naptime Musings
Micah has such a hard time napping in the afternoons. There are just too many toys to play with and too many fun places to go in his mind. When tucking him in one afternoon, Micah looked me intensely and said, “Mommy, my bed is a rocket ship! I am going to fly to the moon and take my nap.” So I told him, “Okay!”, tucked him in and left him. A while later I heard thumping and went to check on him. There he sat in the middle of his room and when he saw me, he quickly jumped back into his rocket ship saying, “I had to make sure the moon was safe.”
Wasps!
We had a wasp in our house the other day, and Micah wanted to play with it. Crazy boy! I told him we couldn’t play with wasps because they might sting us. Micah sat there watched the wasp and said, “If I play with the wasp, he will sting my hand. Then he will take my finger outside and throw it over the deck. Then I can go outside and find my finger. I’ll put it back on my hand and it will be all better.” Oh, to be in his mind for 2 seconds!
