Cute Asher Quotes

While I was getting ready for church on Sunday, Asher came in and totally unprompted said, “Look nice, Mommy.” What a boy!

One day while teaching Asher his catechism, I asked him, “Who made you?” He smiled and said, “God.” The next question was, “What else did God make?” (The catechism answer is God made all things.) Asher rolled his eyes in excitement, grinned and yelled, “God made Grandma!”

“No stinky, Mommy. Just wet.” During a diaper change, this comment made its appearance. And he was right!

Growing Fast

Friday was Micah’s first check-up since coming home from the hospital, and I am so thankful that we have a healthy, happy, baby boy!

Despite a clogged tear duct that turned into an eye infection, Micah has been healthy and growing like a weed. He is such an easy baby…cries only when he needs something, and he is so content to sit and watch his big brother run around the house busy as a bee. He’s already sleeping 4-5 hours at a time through the night, and I count myself very blessed to be getting a lot of rest!

Diaper Duty

Well, I had my first real taste of being at home with two boys by myself yesterday, and laughing about it is really the only way to cope.

So it happened like this…Asher had finished his lunch and was awaiting a stinky diaper change. He was beyond ripe, so I took him into his room where he promptly began to squirm and wiggle trying to find an Elmo diaper to put on. Mid-change, he decided it was more fun to play than to get a diaper change. I found myself in the midst of a mess, most of which had been smeared from inside his diaper onto his legs. Fortunately, it was bath night, so I just cleaned him up and got him back together. His normal diaper change of 2 minutes had turned into 10 minutes of smelly frustration.
